This is a monologue about Simon of Cyrene, who carried the cross for Jesus.  It is fictionalized to create a personal story. This is taken from the play, "A Life Worth Living."

An angel describes his experience with the way people pray. He talks about going in to fight off the enemy and bringing comfort to the one praying and also how he notices that people pray with wrong motives or give up too quickly.

This monologue is good for a communion service or for Memorial Day. Andrew, the disciple, tells about the night of the last supper. Some of the information is about how he felt during certain events, about Peter, his brother, and how he acted, but mostly he brings out the meaning of the bread and the cup and what that ultimately meant. He stresses how important it is that we never forget what Christ did for us when he shed his blood for our sins.

One actor alone on stage. Only 6-7 minutes.

A person receives a phone call to pray for Grandma who is in the hospital. He/she struggles with the prayer not knowing how to pray and there are doubts and fears revealed as well as a wandering mind, and the one praying finally gets peace and submits to the will of God.

On Easter Sunday morning, an angel appears and begins to describe their experience being a messenger of God and being present at very important moments in the life of Christ.  They describe what it was like at the birth, temptation, death and resurrection of Christ.  This is somewhat based on information that we may have learned about angels, and is also taking much freedom and imagination into play to create an emotional monologue.

This is a monologue of someone who is at the end of their rope.  The entire script runs about 20 minutes, but you can easily cut parts out to make it just about any length that you need.  For instance, if you don't want to do the suicidal part, that can be easily cut out. It is full of drama and emotion as this struggling human is crying out to God and trying to cope with their life.  The end is rewarding.

This is a suspenseful story that could be read or memorized and retold.   Perfect for a Halloween event, or an alternative fall party.  The story tells of a man trying to get home quickly on a dark and rainy night, and finds himself on an old road where the bridge has gone out.  He nearly dies as his car goes into the river and after he's rescued by a stranger, the stranger shares the gospel with him and he comes to know Christ.

Only takes about 5 to 6 minutes to read or tell.
